And no trip to Thailand is complete without a ride in a Tuk-tuk! Here we are speeding and weaving through the busy afternoon traffic back to our hotel, which is a fair way outside the centre of the city.

Definitely a fun (if not always completely comfortable) way around the city - but do watch the fares! We originally intended to go into Chaing Mai by Tuk-tuk, but the quoted fare was far too much, but the driver was keen to ensure that none of his colleagues waiting outside the hotel were allowed to undercut him, so the normal operation of the laws of supply and demand was temporarily suspended. We walked down the street, and within 5 minutes found ourselves in a Songathew (shared pick up style taxi) that was going in our direction, for a third of what the previous driver was demanding. The moral? In Thailand, negotiate, and if you don't get the deal you want, don't worry, another deal will be along shortly!

And here it is, in all it's glory - TEAM WILLARD!

And, sadly, it's time to check out of the Sheraton Chiang Mai. It's not in the centre of Chaing Mai, and it is decorated in a shamelessly "international comfort" style, but it is a good hotel, especially if you are an SPG member. And, given that we were lucky enough to catch a peek at the Thai Royal Princess who chose to stay at the hotel last night, we can hardly argue with such an endorsement.

And so, for the last time, we check-in at the domestic executive class check-in at Chiang Mai. Willard now seems to be recognised as a regular!
