After being led directly to our flight from the lounge (always nice when that happens!) Willard boards his selected seat (2A) and is immediately greeted by a glass of, erm, something sparkling!

The shelf/storage area at the side of the First Class Suite provides an even better seating option for Willard (though he misses the companion seat/ottoman that fitted him so well on Swiss and Cathay).

And the good news for today is that Channel 9 is enabled! As an avid aviation enthusiast, Willard especially enjoys listening to the cockpit communications that United sometimes offers on audio channel 9.

.....I go off for a few minutes and Willard has laid claim to the whole suite!

After take-off, we start working through the First Class dinner serivce. As previously stated, we're not going to show pictures of every course, but this seafood chowder deserves a special mention, it was warm tasty and very welcome.
