Wow! This really is Willard's idea of an exclusive bar! He's the only one who has been admitted! Perhaps we should try this place a little earlier, and on another night, methinks (good food though, no denying that!).

seattle1K is keen to point out pictures showing that the bar really is sometimes a lot busier, honest! Meanwhile Willard muses on the Fountain feature outside the hotel, and how the cube remains perfectly balanced on it's point, and spinning, no matter what happens. Willard tries to think of a number, and it keeps coming up as "14".

And after a relatively early night (Willard eschewed the bar at the Westin, as he wanted to keep his clothes on!) Willard enjoys a leisurely breakast at the legendary Sheraton Grande Buffet.

One of the best things about staying at the Sheraton Grande (or the Westin across the road) is the proximity to the Skytrain station, now linked directly by a bridge. Willard decides to take a trip into the centre of Bangkok (inasmuch as it has a centre, perhaps better described as the centre of the Skytrain network) and do some shopping.

|
Not exactly a First-Class seat, but Willard enjoys the convenience (and air conditioning!) of the Skytrain service.
